Pin Grading Guide

Every enamel pin is checked before it’s listed. Small differences can occur during production, so we grade our pins as Standard (A) or Seconds (B). We don’t offer a separate Collector’s grade.

Standard Grade (A)

Standard grade is the highest grade we offer. All pins are Standard grade unless the listing says otherwise. They’re free from major flaws, though you may notice minor imperfections such as:

• small scratches or scuffs
• minor plating marks
• polish marks
• tiny dots or bubbles
• slightly uneven enamel fill
• minor colour variation
• slight misalignment of screen-printed details
  

Seconds Grade (B)

Seconds have more noticeable cosmetic imperfections and are sold at a discounted price. These may include deeper scratches, visible plating imperfections or more obvious misalignment of screen-printed details.

Seconds are still intended to be usable as pins. Any issue that affects how a particular pin fastens or wears will be noted on its listing. Seconds include their backing cards.

Colour Variation

We aim to keep colours consistent, but enamel is mixed by hand, so shades can vary slightly between production batches. Colours may also look different in person than they do on your screen.
